The GBS team were busy this week taking advantage of our London Stadium Associate Partnership. We were invited to the Directors Event at The ArcelorMittal Orbit.
This exclusive evening gave the team a tremendous opportunity to engage with other local business leaders across the partnership, build strong relationships, enjoy a private dinner, and partake in a highly engaging Q&A with a special guest speaker.
The guest speaker was non other than West Ham United fans’ favourite, former defender James Collins.
The Welsh centre-back James Collins played 214 games for The Hammers across two spells in east London, the fan-favourite earned the affectionate nickname of ‘The Ginger Pele’ throughout his time at the club. He made a career-high 30 starts in 2012/13, scoring two memorable headers in an FA Cup third-round tie with Manchester United under the Boleyn Ground floodlights. Collins also made over 50 international appearances for his beloved Wales and was part of the famous 23-man squad which reached the UEFA Euro 2016 semi-final.
The event is dedicated to local business.
